Inserting an image in your article

Though I will go into this in more details later, it is important to remember not to upload images larger than 300kb into your article.

Step 1

To reduce the size of the images you can do the following. Save all the images in one folder.

  1. Open the folder
  2. Click on the first image. Hold Shift in and click on the last image to select the list.
  3. Right Click on the selected images.
  4. Select the Send to option
  5. Select mail recipient.

Step 2

If the images are big, Outlook will bring up the window below. Keep the option at "make all my pictures smaller" and press the OK button.

Step 3

Outlook will open a new mail with the images inside. You right click on each image and save them to a new folder. Your images will now be a size that you can load on to the website. Please check the quality of the new images. If you have a problem please contact me.

Step 4

Edit the article as shown in the Edit an Article tutorial. Click in the editor as shown by arrow 1 and select the Insert/Edit Image Button as shown by arrow 2.

Step 5

Check that you are in the desired image folder (arrow 1) and select the upload button (arrow 2).

Step 6

Click on the Add button as shown below.

Step 7

Navigate to your images, select it (arrow 1) and click on Open (arrow 2).

Step 8

After you pressed open, the image will appear in the Queue with a cross (arrow 1). You can select multiple images and press Upload to start the upload (arrow 2)

Step 9

When an image is uploaded it will have a green tick (arrow 1). If you are done uploading you can click on Cancel to close the window (arrow 2).

Step 10

  1. You will have to double click on the image name (arrow 1).
  2. Make sure the images info is inserted as shown 2 images below. You can also change the display size.
  3. Click on the insert button (arrow 2) and save your article.
