Creating a menu link to your article
A standard site will have a top menu and/or left menu system. We sometimes use articles instead as a standard menu option. With www.bridalgownsbycaroline.co.za we omitted the menu system completely.
If you are unsure of your menu system, give me a call and I will help you gladly.
It is also possible to have multiple menus. Notice this site have Main Menu, OUR Work and TRAINING menus.
Step 1
Select the Menu Option (arrow 1) and select the menu where you want the link to be in (arrow 2).

Step 2
You should now be in the Menu Item Manager as shown below. Select the New button as shown by the arrow.

Step 3
To create a menu link to an article select Articles (arrow 1) and Article Layout (arrow 2).

Step 4
Click on the Select Button in the Parameters (Basic) as shown below.

Step 5
A pop-up will appear as shown below. You again have filter option to get to the article quickly. Click on the title or the article you want as shown below.

Step 6
Give your menu link a title as shown below.

Step 7
You can select a parent item. In the image below YOUR BROWSER is a parent item for SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM.

Step 8
You can either Save or Apply your menu link in the top right corner of the screen:
- Save – Will save the menu item and close the editor.
- Apply – Will save without closing the editor.
- Cancel - or close will discard all changes and save the editor.
Click on Save the menu item to complete the tutorial. If you view your site, a new menu link should now point to your new article.
