Setting up your System

One of the mayor frustrations with web development is that there simply are not clear standards when we talk about browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome). Each cell phone also has a unique browser.

We suggest using Mozilla Firefox as a browser. Mozilla, like Joomla, is an open source product and the two systems communicate very well. We have to ask you to remember to view any changes made to your site in Internet Explorer 7 or up as well.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or up we suggest you make the following settings:

Step 1.

You could access Internet Options by clicking on Tools -> Internet Options.

Or you could click on the tools icon (arrow 1) and select Internet Options.

Click on the settings button under Tabs as shown below.

Select Always open Pop-ups in a new Tab, and press ok until you are back in your browser.
